If you are a DTE residential electric customer, you may be eligible for a rebate when you upgrade to a new, high-efficiency central air conditioning unit.
A participating contractor will come to your home with information about models that qualify for rebates.
After you select a new model, your contractor will:

If you are a DTE residential electric customer, you may be eligible for a rebate when you complete a DTE Air Conditioner Diagnostic Tune-Up.
A participating contractor will use advanced diagnostic tools to check your air conditioner and make adjustments so it runs efficiently and reliably - helping to lower your energy costs.
Your contractor will fill out and submit a rebate form for you online.
Your rebate check will arrive by mail in six to eight weeks.
Rebates are available for up to four units at single-family homes, condos or townhomes.
Limit one rebate per unit every 5 years.
A participating contractor must perform the air conditioner diagnostic tune-up and submit your rebate application within 20 days of service.
