Eligibility

  • DTE Energy residential natural gas customers are eligible for furnace, boiler and thermostat rebates.
  • DTE Energy residential electric customers that use electricity as their primary heating and cooling fuel may qualify for heat pump installations.
  • Rebates are designated for replacement of existing equipment (new construction does not qualify).
  • Funds for rebates are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis through December 31, 2018.
  • DTE Energy reserves the right not to pay this rebate if funds are not available at the time of application approval or if the application is incomplete or inaccurate.

Get Started

  1. Find a participating contractor. Use our Energy-Efficiency Directory or call 866.796.0512.
  2. Select and install your new equipment. Your participating contractor can let you know which equipment qualifies for rebates and properly size the equipment for maximum efficiency before installing it in your home.
  3. Sign the Terms and Conditions form. Your contractor will provide the form and submit the rebate application online for you. Your rebate check will arrive by mail within six to eight weeks.

Be ready for any type of weather and receive a $50 rebate through our Furnace and Boiler Tune-Up Program. A participating HVAC contractor will use advanced diagnostic tools to check your furnace or boiler and adjust it to make sure it’s operating efficiently and reliably. A tune-up will help lower your energy costs and extend the life of your equipment.


Eligibility

  • DTE Energy residential natural gas customers are eligible.
  • Rebates are available for up to two units at single-family homes, condos, or townhomes.
  • Minimum 40,000 BTU capacity
  • Unit must be the primary heat source for the residence.
  • Limit one rebate per gas-fired furnace or boiler tune-up with combustion analysis every two years.
  • A participating contractor must perform the furnace or boiler tune-up with combustion analysis.
  • Your contractor must submit your rebate application within 20 days of service.
  • Funds for rebates are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis through December 31, 2018.
  • DTE Energy reserves the right not to pay this rebate if funds are not available at the time of application approval or if the application is incomplete or inaccurate.
