Q: I have questions that I would like to speak to a representative about. Who should I contact?
A: Please call us at (866) 796-0512 or email dtemultifamily@michiganefficiency.com.
Q: How do I know which upgrades I’m eligible for?
A: See the overview tab above to learn more about program eligibility. You can also schedule a free energy assessment to learn more. In general, eligibility is dependent upon your DTE Energy account type and the specifics of your multifamily property.
Q: What are the next steps after I receive a free energy assessment?
A: After your assessment, a team member will determine your eligibility and assist with your next steps in program participation. This could include scheduling your direct install appointment, contacting a contractor or submitting an application for prescriptive/custom incentives.
Q: Do I need to request an energy assessment to take advantage of DTE’s Multifamily Program?
A: No. However, we recommend having our team on-site to uncover all of the energy-saving opportunities available to you. To take advantage of the available incentives, an energy assessment is not required.
Q: I’m a property manager/owner with both DTE AND Consumers Energy utilities. Can I still participate?
A: Yes. If your property has one fuel type from DTE Energy and one fuel type from Consumers Energy, the Multifamily program can facilitate direct installations, assessments and program incentives for both utilities in a single visit.
Q: I’m a contractor. How can I participate in the program?
A: Contractors are an important part of the DTE Multifamily Program. Visit our contractor site to learn about energy-saving opportunities for your customers and the program incentives that are available.
