Paying your DTE Energy bill on our website is secure, easy and free. To make a payment online, you will need to either sign in or create an online account.

Paying and accessing your account information online saves you time by putting all of your utility information in one place and spares you the hassle of writing checks. Best yet, you can use the payment method that works for you, including your checking or savings account. Eligible customers can pay with a Visa®, Mastercard® or Discover® debit or credit card.
Choose the Day You Pay
When you pay online, you can choose to make a one-time payment or you can enroll in AutoPay so your bill is paid automatically each month on the due date.

You can access and manage your DTE electric and natural gas accounts online — anytime, anywhere — with a wide range of devices, including a computer, smart phone and mobile phone. Not only can you view and pay your bill online, you can:

With the DTE Energy Mobile App, it takes just three clicks to pay your bill.
  • View and pay your bill using a checking or savings account. Eligible customers can pay with a Visa®, Mastercard®  or Discover® debit or credit card.
  • Compare your current bill to last month and the same time last year.
  • Report a downed power line or outage and receive updates.
  • Monitor restoration and repair times.
  • Guest Pay allows you to pay another customer’s bill or your own without signing in. All you need is the last name and address or an account number.
  • Enroll in eBill Paperless Billing or AutoPay programs.

DTE Energy Bill Payment Kiosks are located all across the service territory and offer a safe, secure place to access account information and make payments.

  • Payments are updated to your account the same day.

  • No processing fees.
Paying by phone using our automated payment system is a fast, convenient way to pay your DTE Energy bill — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply call 800.477.4747.
 
Choose Your Payment Method
When you pay by phone, you can use your checking account. Eligible customers can pay with a Visa®, Mastercard® or Discover® debit or credit card. To complete your transaction, you will need your DTE Energy account number(s) and your payment method's information.
 
Fast and Free
As long as your payment is made by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on the due date, you will not be charged a late fee. There are also no fees for DTE Energy payments made by phone.
 
Call 800.477.4747 and follow the prompts.
Simply return your DTE Energy payment coupon with a check or money order for the amount of your payment in the return envelope provided. Do not send cash.

If you are paying more than one account, you can pay with one check or money order. Include all payment coupons with your payment.

Please allow five days for U.S. Postal Service delivery to ensure your payment is received and processed by the due date.

Authorized Pay Agents
DTE Energy has many authorized payment agents conveniently located across Michigan. Payments are sent electronically and are updated to your account within four hours. Authorized payment agents accept full or partial payments by cash, check or money order, before or after the due date. Look for the DTE Energy logo at the location.

Note: Some authorized payment agents may charge a nominal processing fee for their service. DTE Energy does not receive any portion of this fee. All payment options offered directly from DTE Energy are free.


Customer Offices and Payment Centers
DTE Energy Customer Offices and Payment Centers are open from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). When visiting, please remember to bring your bill.
